Rosie Rokeach
Camp Kee Tov Director
Dear Camp Kee Tov friends,
I am so thrilled to announce my transition into the Director role at Camp Kee Tov! I have spent the last 3 years as Assistant Director, learning all the in’s and out’s of CKT, and after getting to know all the families, staff and campers, and community members it feels only natural to continue my camp journey with the support of you all.
I grew up at Beth El and Camp Kee Tov, going to every single session possible as a camper to becoming a counselor, and I understand how integral camp is to building kehilah kedosha — sacred community, and for fostering simcha — joy. These values root us and help create friendships and memories that last a lifetime. As Director, I hope to continue to root our programming in our camp values and create a ruach-filled and legendary summer at Camp Kee Tov.
I invite you all to connect with me, whether you have questions, or just want to share camp joy- I couldn’t be more excited to talk about this coming summer. You can reach out by email to rosie@bethelberkeley.org, or by phone at 510-848-2372.
With ruach,
Rosie Rokeach
Sasha Alley
Camp Kee Tov Assistant Director
Hello Camp Kee Tov community!
I am so honored to step into this role as Camp Kee Tov's new Assistant Director. As a lifetime Berkeley native, growing up next to Beth El on Oxford St., spending years at CKT starting as a camper and counselor, and most recently graduating from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Media Studies and Public Policy - I am always seeking opportunities for growth within the dynamic and passionate Berkeley community. I can't stay away!
I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and pleased to start my journey within the CKT director team!
Gwynie Liebhauser
Rishonim Program Director
Some say she runs on pure ruach, others think it’s powered by song sessions and a dangerously strong love for Mock Overnight planning. Either way, she’s back where it all began, returning to Rishonim after starting her Kee Tov career right here.
A San Diego State University student, Gwynie is graduating this spring with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture… but plot twist, she’s trading floor plans for a future in pediatric occupational therapy, turns out her love for working with children was just a little too strong to ignore.
When she’s not telling tales about her favorite magical mouse Twinkle Toes or heading off to CHOICES!!, she’s busy preparing for the most epic swim days Rish has ever seen.
This summer, expect large amounts of ruach, Kee Tov love, and nonstop fun, Rishonim, you’re in for something special.
Rish said it best: we may be little, we may be small, but we’ve got the most ruach of all!
Doron Schwab
Habonim Program Director
After experiencing the glory of every program at Kee Tov (except for Gib), he’s back and in charge of his favorite of them all. Not only is he looking to have one of the greatest summers ever experienced, but he's also looking to produce a record amount of fuzzy milk, surpassing his previous milestone of 2,065 gallons. He’s been training to win the Ruach competition all throughout the year, and has no doubt that Hab will take home the trophy for the 50th year in a row.
When he’s not at Kee Tov (or practicing Hab cheers), Doron is a student at Middlebury College working towards a double Major in Economics and Sociology, and a minor in Ruach production. He will be looking to apply his Economics degree to keep Hab point inflation at an all-time low and maintain an efficient market for Nilla wafers, Oreos, and Smore supplies.
Doron has numerous Kumzit characters in the works, with a focus on outfit choice and voice manipulation to differentiate between them. On top of that, he’s also crafted costumes for theme days and fine-tuned his tie-dye skills to make Fridays feel extra special.
In his 7th year as a counselor, Doron has finally come full circle to the program that started it all, and he’s extremely excited to take everything he’s learned in that time and make sure Hab is as awesome as possible!
Talia Antell-Proulx
Giborim Program Director
For her seventh year on staff, Talia could not be more excited to return home to the elite program of Giborim! Whether it’s creating intricate friendship bracelets, winning gaga ball, or performing in the iconic Gib dance, Talia’s done it all, and can’t wait to share it with your campers! As the song says, the G is for greatness, and from dynamic song sessions to diverse chugims, you know that’s what we’ll be!
In the off season, you can find Talia at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where she double majors in Film and Psychology, and dreams of building fairy houses at camp.
Norah Lee
Mapilim Program Director
Norah Lee is OVER THE MOON to be your 2026 Mapilim Program Director.
She has recently dusted off her theatre skills in a school production, shreds 3x weekly at the local climbing gym, is slowly acquiring a rotation of go-to dinner recipes, and sings and dances as she gets ready every morning - though she can’t claim to be much of a painter. All this to say, she is ready to support the actualization of the flourishing potential of every speciality in Map this year.
Having worked in Hab, Map, and Gesh over the past 6 summers, she can say for sure that Map is the heart of Kee Tov, that beautiful dawning moment where campers realize how truly lucky it is to be at camp. She could not be more grateful to get to create the most magical, weird, and wonderful summer possible alongside a creative + kind staff.
She currently studies Biology and Anthropology and works as a student first responder at McGill University.
Jeremiah Harder
Chalutzim Program Director
After three summers studying under Kee Tov greats Gladstone, Lerner, and Lake, in 2026, Jeremiah is finally ready to assume the mantle of Chalutzim PD. Born at a young age, Jeremiah’s Kee Tov career stretches all the way back to completing Rishonim two times as a camper. Ever since that second enrollment in Rishonim, Jeremiah has known his destiny was to be a counselor at camp.
From glow in the dark capture the flag to bramble scramble to scavenger hunts in SF, Jeremiah is well versed in the classic Chalutzim traditions. However, he also isn’t afraid to start new ones. Expect Chalutzim campers to come home with epic tales of battle royales at the bunkers and even more epic tales of Kee Tov “standardized tests but fun” from the overnights.
When Jeremiah isn’t spending time at Beth El admiring the Chal Steps, he attends Whitman College, in Walla Walla, Washington. He likes to spend his time throwing a frisbee around and looking at rocks. Go Sweets!
Berch Lake
Gesher Program Director
Berch has spent the last six summers going wherever camp has needed him. Whether that meant playing gaga ball on the Hab chips, singing “Wish Sasha” in the Gib Grove, or performing kumzits at the Chal steps, Berch has seen almost everything camp has to offer… except the program he remembers most fondly as a camper: Gesher!
Berch remembers his Gesher year fondly. The summer of ’88 was a magical time to be a camper at Kee Tov, and ever since his camper journey ended that year, he has known he wanted to return as a counselor and give the next generation an even better experience than the one he had. Over the past 37 years or so, Berch has spent every summer making sure Kee Tov is better than it was the year before, and this summer is no exception. He is finally ready to take on the task of closing out so many camper stories with a bang while also preparing them for the wonders of working at camp as counselors.
In his free time, Berch has developed some of the nation’s leading anti-aging creams and lotions, which have partially helped fund his college career at the University of Washington. Berch plans to graduate from this prestigious university in the spring with a major in Political Science and a focus on International Security. When he is not at camp or school, you can find Berch waiting by his window at home, staring off into the distance with a tear in his eye and asking himself: Will George R. R. Martin ever actually release The Winds of Winter?
Berch cannot wait for this summer, and he is already counting down the days until June.
